80 GB Sony Playstation 3 announced!

Sony has announced the pricing and availability of the 80GB PS3. The new PS3 with 80GB will comes together with a free copy of MotorStorm and will retails for $599. The 80GB version of PS3 will be available starting August. The larger hard drive will allows user to have opportunity to take advantage of all the downloadable games and trailers on the PlayStation Network including the forthcoming download service that include videos, movies and other entertainment content. Another good-news is that the 60GB PS3 will be lowered to $499, a hundred bucks away (effective immediately in North America).

Nissan recalls over 140,000 of their Altima sedans

The 2007 Nissan Altima sedan has encountered some serious problem on the air filter. Its 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine has an air filter that can catch fire easily whenever there are something sucked in such as cigarette ashes. There are four incidents have been reported to Nissan. Nissan has contact the Altima owners last week. The air filter will be replaced with a presumably less flammable one. Additionally, Nissan also add an air deflector to help prevent a potential accumulation of debris in the filter.

Samsung P318+

Samsung has redesigned their P310 to P318+ for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. This special edition phone is cased in 18kt gold especially launched for the 2008 Olympics. I’m sure this phone will be preloaded with those Olympic contents such as wallpaper, ringtones and maybe some video clip.

Rumor: Picture of N95 Music Edition

Is this how the 8GB Nokia N95 Music Edition suppose to look like? Not sure who and where this picture taken. Rumors for the exception of GPS are still unconfirmed. I thought the black supposed to be glossy for the music edition but this is rugged. Still waiting for info.

Here’s the Sony Ericsson HBM-30, a mini music player for that supports MP3 and ATRAC3 playback. It has the Memory Stick Duo for music storage. Using the Bluetooth technology, this mini player will be connected to any Bluetooth enabled mobile phone and can be used as handsfree. Whenever there’s incoming call, music will automatically set to mute. There’s also an LCD display for your tracks information or caller numbers. It measures 5cm (W) x 5.4cm (H) x 1.6cm (D), weighs 49.9 grams and powered by single AAA battery. Sony Ericsson HBM-30 is available for Rs.2,999.00 which is around $75 after convertion.

Sony Ericsson has released a promotional video for their new P1. Featuring 3.2-megapixel camera with auto focus, QWERTY keyboard and handwriting text input, handwriting recognition, media player, 160 MB internal with 512MB Memory Stick Micro expandable memory, “Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Infrared and USB connectivity”, FM radio RDS and running on Symbian OS v9.1.

Shocking news, last month on June 19th, a Chinese welder in China died after his cell phone exploded in his shirt pocket, breaking his ribs and blasting bone pieces into his heart. The welder was carrying a Motorola cellphone and the company has send people to investigate the incident.

Apple has sold more than 700,000 iPhones over the weekend. Most of the stores are out of supplies, in US. Apple’s stores in Hawaii, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Utah and Washington have sold out their iPhones in three days from the launch date.

Here’s a NBA branded mobile phone in China. The handset has a NBA schedule synchronization service and it is preloaded with NBA theme, NBA songs and games. The NBA handset comes with a 2.4″ TFT display, 8MB RAM and 64MB NAND Flash memory. No words on pricing and availability.

LG L704i is a HSDPA phone that has a 3.6 Mbps download speed and comes with 2.0-megapixel camera, secondary camera for video call, 2.2 inch 262k colors QVGA display, Infrared and Micro SD card slot that supports up to 2GB. Rumor: Nokia N95 Music Edition?

LG has partnered up with Google to released a mobile phone that enable users to view, upload and share video clips on the YouTube without the need of a computer. LG began to sell the third-generation 3G mobile phones which is preloaded with software for directly using the Google service (Google search, Gmail and Google Maps), in Europe last month. LG Electronics will released a mobile phone which fully supports YouTube service for the first time in the second half of 2007.

Nokia 7500 Prism Unveiled

Nokia has unveiled the Nokia 7500 Prism mobile phone at a fashion event in China. The Nokia 7500 Prism comes with a 1.6 million colors 2” QVGA display, 2-megapixel camera with flash, microSD slot and micro USB connector (for charging and transferring data). Mobile Phone with Nano Projector

Wow that’s really cool…I’m sure there are a lot of people waiting for this. SK Telecom of Korea has added a Nano Projector to a mobile phone. It is capable of projecting out a 20” image or video onto the wall. I think soon they will use mobile phone for PowerPoint presentation. The phone will be available later this year.

Phonescoops.com provides us a video preview of the 5-megapixel phone from Sony Ericsson, the K850i. Recall, the phone has the auto-rotate features just like the iPhone, displays it in the correct aspect - portrait or landscape. It is a Cyber-shot phone with auto-focus and Xenon flash and also a Tri-Band HSDPA and Quad-Band GPRS/EDGE phone phone.

Rumor: O2 Helen Windows Mobile 6 Professional Smartphone

Here’s the picture of XDA “Helen” from O2. It is a 3G pocket-sized slider and it’s running Windows Mobile 6 Professional. It is said to features quad-band GSM and EDGE, 3G in the 2100 MHz range, 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, 64MB RAM and 256MB ROM. No words on release date, pricing and other specifications.
